Why we built TutorsNearMeSG

Finding private tuition in Singapore can be unnecessarily complicated.

Tutor information is often scattered across agencies, social media posts, messaging groups and individual listings. In some cases, students and parents have very little information about a tutor before making an enquiry.

We wanted to create something simpler: one place where families can browse tutors, compare profiles and make their own decision.

No forced matching. No need to send the same request to multiple agencies. Just a clearer way to discover and compare tutors.

Keeping the directory useful

Tutor adverts may be reviewed before they appear publicly, and submitted reviews may also be moderated before publication.

We do this to help keep listings relevant, readable and useful for the people using the directory.

TutorsNearMeSG is a directory rather than a tuition agency, school or employer.

We help students and parents discover tutors and make the initial connection. Once an enquiry has been made, students, parents and tutors communicate directly and make their own arrangements regarding lessons, schedules and payment.

TutorsNearMeSG does not allocate tutors, conduct lessons, collect lesson fees on behalf of tutors, or manage the tutoring relationship.
