Engineering Mathematics, Physics and Statistics Tutor for Polytechnic Students
Engineering Mathematics is not about doing pages of algebra blindly; it is about knowing why each method exists, when to use it, and how to present the working clearly enough to earn method marks. I'm Aarav, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from NTU and Singapore Polytechnic alumnus who tutors Polytechnic Engineering Mathematics, Physics and Statistics for students in engineering diplomas. Many of my students come to me after realising that school tutorials move quickly from one formula to the next, so I slow the process down and connect each topic to practical problem-solving: vectors for forces, calculus for rates of change, matrices for systems, probability for engineering reliability, and statistics for interpreting experimental data. I teach mainly online, with limited West-side slots around Jurong West, Pioneer, Boon Lay and nearby areas for students who prefer in-person guidance before common tests or semester exams.

I graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma with Merit before completing Mechanical Engineering at NTU, where I received a bond-free engineering scholarship and worked as a teaching assistant for first-year mechanics. Over the past few years, I have supported Polytechnic students in calculus, vectors, matrices, differential equations, mechanics, thermodynamics basics and statistics, including students who were repeating a module and students aiming to move from a pass to an A/B grade. My lessons usually begin with the student's own lecture notes and tutorial sheets so we can follow the school's notation, then we rebuild the topic through worked examples, short drills and timed questions. I am patient with students who feel they are not maths people and need the steps explained without judgement, but I also expect consistent practice because Engineering Mathematics improves most when students learn to recognise question patterns across many examples.
