O-Level Maths and Physics Tutor for Students Around Upper Thomson and Mandai
Maths and Physics are less intimidating when students learn to slow down and identify the principle behind the question. I'm Benjamin, a Year 3 Electrical Engineering student at NUS and Anderson Serangoon JC alumnus who tutors Elementary Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, H2 Mathematics and Engineering Mathematics for students around Upper Thomson, Mandai and nearby North/Central areas. My lessons are direct and practice-focused, but I do not simply throw worksheets at students; I first check whether they understand the underlying method, then we practise enough variations for them to recognise repeated question patterns under time pressure. I teach online and have limited in-person slots for students who need exam discipline, clearer working and steady correction of habits before school assessments.

I scored A for H2 Mathematics and H2 Physics, and I am currently on the Dean's List for Engineering. I started tutoring juniors after JC and have continued tutoring Secondary and JC students through university. My lessons use diagnostic questions to identify gaps quickly: for Mathematics, I focus on algebra, functions, calculus, trigonometry and graph interpretation; for Physics, I emphasise free-body diagrams, circuits, waves, electricity and careful use of units. I keep notes concise and prefer targeted practice over large worksheets, because students often improve faster when they know exactly which mistake they are fixing. Students who benefit most from my lessons are usually those who understand examples during class but lose confidence when exam questions look slightly different.
