Communications, GP and Presentation Skills Tutor for JC and Polytechnic Students
Clear communication is a skill students can train, not a personality trait they either have or lack. I'm Clarissa, a former communications executive and NUS Communications graduate who tutors General Paper, Communications and presentation-based modules. I work with students who need help writing clearer arguments, improving oral presentations, structuring reports or becoming more confident in class participation. Lessons are practical and often involve reviewing the student's actual drafts, slides or school assignment briefs. I teach online and around Outram, Tiong Bahru and the city fringe. Students who prefer precise feedback rather than generic encouragement usually find my lessons useful.

I graduated from NUS with Honours in Communications and New Media and spent 6 years in corporate communications, editorial planning and stakeholder presentations. I have tutored Polytechnic students in communications modules and JC students preparing for GP essays, AQ and oral-style presentations. My lessons cover argument structure, paragraph flow, evidence selection, concise writing, slide design and delivery practice. For GP students, I focus on question analysis, examples and evaluation. For Polytechnic students, I help align reports and presentations to rubrics without writing the assignment for them. I also coach nervous presenters with rehearsal methods, pacing and handling Q&A.
