Patient English, Biology and Study Skills Support for Primary to O-Level
Hi, I'm Grace, a Year 2 Education undergraduate at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Choosing to study Education wasn't accidental; I've always enjoyed helping students overcome challenges and watching their confidence grow as they begin to understand concepts they once found difficult. As someone training to become an educator, I'm learning not only what to teach, but also how different students learn best. Every child learns differently, which is why I take time to understand each student's strengths, learning habits and areas that need the most support before planning lessons. Whether your child needs help strengthening their foundations, improving examination techniques or simply becoming more confident in class, lessons are personalised to suit their individual goals. I strive to create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and thinking independently. My aim is not just to improve grades, but to help students develop the confidence and learning habits that will continue benefiting them long after our lessons. 📍 Lesson Options - Online lessons - Student's home - Small group lessons available upon request

Through my studies at NIE and practical teaching placements, I've had the opportunity to work with students from a variety of academic backgrounds and learning abilities. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain concepts in different ways, adapt lessons when students are struggling and identify learning strategies that suit individual personalities. Every lesson follows a structured plan with clear learning objectives, guided practice and regular opportunities for students to apply what they've learnt independently. Rather than simply giving answers, I encourage students to explain their thinking, helping them develop stronger problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Parents receive regular updates on their child's progress, while students benefit from personalised practice materials, constructive feedback and ongoing encouragement between lessons. I believe that consistent support, positive reinforcement and achievable goals are often what transform hesitant learners into confident, independent students. "Grace is incredibly patient and encouraging. My daughter used to be afraid of asking questions in class, but after a few months of lessons she became much more confident and her English grades improved from a C to an A."
