Hi, I'm Marcus, a Year 1 Mathematics undergraduate at the National University of Singapore (NUS). I tutor Secondary Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics, JC H1 Mathematics, H2 Mathematics and Economics, helping students build strong fundamentals while developing the confidence to tackle unfamiliar questions independently. During my own time in school, I relied heavily on self-study and learnt that studying harder isn't always the answer—having the right strategy makes all the difference. I enjoy breaking difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps and adapting my teaching style to suit each student's pace. Since graduating from junior college, I've been tutoring students across Secondary and Junior College, supporting learners with different strengths, learning styles and academic goals. While some students come to me looking to improve their passing grades, others are preparing for major examinations and aiming for distinctions. Regardless of their starting point, my focus is always on helping them understand the reasoning behind each method rather than relying on memorisation. I have stacks of worksheets and practice material of varying level and difficulty to cater towards students' levels.
