Most students think English is about "having good language." I don't. As someone currently studying Data Science & Analytics with a Minor in Communications at NUS, I've always preferred subjects with structure and clear reasoning. That's exactly why I enjoy teaching English—I believe good writing isn't about guessing what the examiner wants; it's about following logical frameworks that anyone can learn. Many of my students are naturally stronger in Mathematics and Science but struggle to organise essays or explain their ideas clearly. Together, we break English down into practical, repeatable methods that make essay writing, comprehension and language analysis feel far less overwhelming.
